We should update various processes in this repo to be in line with how we do things in miden-vm and other repos. Specifically, we should:

  • Migrate to make from cargo-make.
  • Split up/update CI jobs (including the new CI check for changelog changes).
  • Copy over rustfmt.toml from the miden-vm repo.
  • Start using rust-toolchain.toml instead of plain rust-toolchain.
  • Make sure pre-commit configs are up to date.
