single, shared backup

At the moment I am seeing multiple "Authenticator Data" folders on my GDrive which as a human I cannot tell apart other than by comparing dates and sizes of the backup files in those folders.

I have no idea how the extension can manage to create and distinguish different directories that all have the same name but that seems like a recipe for disaster if Google decide to change something (say, make it impossible).
It would be much more useful if the Authenticator extension would use a single directory and used a single (current) backup file that were synchronised across the various browsers in which you the extension is installed and configured to use the same backup.
