Unable to install or use this due to being so far out of date compared to present version of MM #12

I've tried for 2 days to get this or one of the related projects to work on a RPI with a Waveshare 7.5 installed.

These projects are using files and references that are so out of date that they simply don't work and I'm just not able to bridge those gaps. I've tried to go back to older raspbian and Chromium builds, but MM requires Nodejs 20 or newer and Python3 replaced Python, so references to Python no longer work, but Python3 is slightly different so things don't work quite as expected.

At this point, I'm ordering some ESP32 boards to at least make SOME use of the displays, but if anyone has any tips or ideas on how to get one of these projects to work with recent builds of Raspbian and MM, etc.?
