Patching Schedule #351

July has been a rough month. With all the preparation for v1 and .NET Core 8 there has not been as much time to work on anything else. A small feature update was able to be scrounged together for v0.9.4.2024.07.23.0231 but wish it came sooner. July has also presented it's own personal issues for myself at work and have had less than an hour of free time to work on this project all month. August and September look to be even worse so development may slow even further than anticipated, but plan to keep up with at least small security patches for the time being. Priority for v1 is email notifications. After this is implemented the move to v1.0 and .NET Core 8 will happen. |

With v1.0 released, nearly every patch will increment the fix number (1.0.1->1.0.2). Features will release with the feature number incrementing (1.0.2->1.1.0) Fixes will not be applied to previous feature branches so to get the latest fixes requires the latest features. |

Hello,
I wanted to announce that Blazam will be working towards a two week patch cadence.
In the past, development was sporadic and unpredictable. For an alpha stage product this is acceptable, but being so close to a v1.0 release candidate we want to improve our consistency. We are a very small group of dev's but we will try our hardest to meet this patch cadence.
With this may come some changes to what is included in our updates. We used to provide a new feature in every update. That may no longer be possible, not only because there already are so many 😍.
We may begin releasing inter-minor updates, that is an update with the same first three version numbers (eg:v0.9.2.2024.05.02.1600 -> v0.9.2.2024.05.22.1145). These updates will still contain the same amount of love and improvement as feature releases, but may be less noticeable.
We expect this to improve the community interaction by encouraging feedback and suggestions.
A warm thank you,
From Blazam
