Ignore mouse cursor

Hi!
I have a recording of a programming course from which I would like to extract "distinct" frames and I need cursor movement to be ignored. Is there a way ?

This might be a good use case for perceptual hashing, which is available with the detect-hash command. Presumably the small size of the cursor would mean the hash should change very infrequently compared to the actual content.

Another thing you can try is to just use frame skipping and raise your threshold with detect-content or detect-adaptive. Lastly, changing the weights to focus more on edges or color information might help - try generating a statsfile and see if there are any trends you can leverage.
