Thank you @l1t1, in fact it was an error. As is typically the case, it happened during the night, so we corrected as soon as possible.
We moved the management/training from aincrad to mau so if you notice that nets come out slower, that's the reason. Please let us know if you notice any other odd behaviour.
With aincrad free, we are going to try to train 9x192 nets with 12x256 games and see if it can improve, and after that we will train some larger nets, not for now to use for self-play, but maybe they could be useful for OGS bots and in general for the public.
Panel match currently going on are on one of these 9b nets. I will put a panel strength assessment every 16 generations starting from the 8th. These will be very fast test, with 10 to 20 games at 800 visits. We think to measure Elo it is best to do few fast games with different nets than more games with one or two nets.
