1. SDG Relevance
Note
Digital solutions must demonstrate relevance to one or more of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
For this indicator, you must submit a description that links the digital solution to the SDG list of targets and indicators (click on each SDG listed on the page to see the list of targets). Only the most relevant SDGs to the solution should be mentioned and you will be required to provide information for each SDG the solution may be relevant to. A good way to provide evidence of this is to:
- Clearly explain the relationship between your digital solution and the selected SDG(s) in a few sentences, pointing to the specific targets you help accomplish.
- Provide any link(s) of a blog post, media post, or public communication (organization mission statement or similar) that talks about any social, public, or relevant contribution to society. It is not necessary that these mention SDGs as long as it relates to the previous explanation.
- Learn more about the 17 goals of the United Nation's SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
- Use this SDG Tracker tool to get an idea of the targets, initiatives, and data around each SDG.
- The SDG Academy provides free, open educational resources from the world’s leading experts on sustainable development.
- Read the Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development agenda document.
Digital Public Goods (DPGs) are open-source software, open data, open AI systems, and open content collections that adhere to privacy and other applicable laws and best practices, do no harm, and help attain the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). If you have any questions regarding the DPG application process or anything else, you can ask directly to the DPG Community for guidance or send us an email; we're available to help you.
