Background:
This is to address the current known limitation of the eTRIKS/Elixir IMI catalogue where annotations are free text.

For key classifiers identified by IMI partners (EFPIA and Academic) for essential aspects of dataset findability, we will need to decide on ontologies/controlled terminologies for the following:

  • Organism
  • Disease
  • Interventions (Drug, Vaccines, Medical Devices, Cell therapies)
  • Data modalities (bioassay types)
  • Biological Targets (Protein, RNA, Genes, Lipids)

additional aspects may include

  • Phenotyping information
  • file formats
  • conditions of use and conditions of access
