Installing GRSIFrame

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone knows how to install GRSIFrame? I can't seem to find any documentation on how to install it.

I installed GRSISort v4.0.0.2 yesterday and I assumed that GRSIFrame might come with that but it didn't.

I think you will need to install version 4.0.0.3

So the reason why I got 4.0.0.2 was because I was having problem with installing 4.0.0.3

When I try to do "make" inside the GRSIData directory for 4.0.0.3 it gives me an error. See the attached screenshot.

If you know a fix to that - please let me know!

I am not sure why you are getting this as an error.
I just downloaded the current versions of GRSISort and GRSIData from the github.
I had an error with the TLevel scheme, which was resolved by following #1351

But otherwise everything is now installed and seemingly working.

Hmm... that is interesting. Do you think it may be because I have some libraries or something missing on my end?

Which version of ROOT do you have? I have ROOT 6.14/04

Also, I have Ubuntu 18.04

I am also using Ubuntu 18.04
Root version: 6.20/08
I am not sure what the source of the error is.
You could try using a more recent version of root but I don't know if that will resolve the issue.

$GRSISYS/util/grsiframe.cxx file is not there. Is there a way to get this file?

If I type grsiframe in a terminal then I get:

grsiframe: command not found

I can see the grsiframe.cxx on the github, so I am not sure why you don't have it.

If you do 'cd $GRSISYS' are you going to the correct directory?

Yes cd $GRSISYS gives me the correct directory (screenshot attached).

So the way I installed GRSISort was

git checkout v4.0.0.3
make

and then steps for GRSIData

I suggest installing grsisort again but don't use the checkout command

git clone https://github.com/GRIFFINCollaboration/GRSISort.git
cd GRSISort
source thisgrsi.sh
make

Oh, that actually worked - thank you so much!!!

I kept using checkout command since I wanted it to direct to the newest version but I think using source before make did the trick.
