@only1chunts could you please link some document that serves as the authority for our commitment to keep term name lengths to 20 or fewer characters?

the length that we adhere to is in the INSDC feature table specification:
https://www.insdc.org/submitting-standards/feature-table/#3
As the GSC has the stated objective of building and maintaining standards for public sharing of genomic data, and the INSDC is the number one public resource of genomic data it makes sense that we maintain the standard in an INSDC compatible form.
