script hangs?

hello I think i'm having troubles trying your script. I get the following output
$ python dem_to_stl.py cropped.dem cropped.stl

/home/enrico/Scaricati/dem-to-stl-master/cdedtools/demparser.py(54)read_data()

can you please help me?
I've got a Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64bit with the default python interpreter 2.7.6

Hey, sorry it hasn't been working for you.

Are you able to provide me with a copy of the cropped.dem file that you're using? This tool was written specifically to parse the 'CDED' flavour of DEM files released by the Government of Canada. My first guess is that the DEM formats used by other countries or organizations are incompatible in some small way.
