Adding suggestions from Jim Freed:

  • Modify the links so that when you click the link, it opens a new tab and keep the GitHub tab open.

  • The MML training memo requires approval to access it so is there a way to allow any noaa.gov email so that not everyone needs to request access?

  • Change contact from Jim to "MML NOAA Corps officer".

  • Would it make more sense to put the aviation training and then the aviation safety gear before going into small boats? The small boat section might be a little long so the flow from aviation to boats might be a little choppy but up to you.

Boat sections:

  • List training required for boats.

  • Link to the Small Boat Program web page and intranet site in that section.

  • List the various MML vessels that we have?

  • Mention and link to the Float Plan website.

  • Add a section on the EPIRBS, similar to the aviation section. Will need to be maintained and registered.

  • Link to SBP Standards and Procedures Manual in that section as that has all of the SBP policy in it.

  • Mention the WRC Pier and how pier space for small boat docking or training needs to be reserved ahead of time with WRC facilities (currently involved emailing @bernadette.shu@noaa.gov but she is working on creating a pier reservation calendar so that will be changing soon I believe).

Safety gear:

  • Possibly mention, add a photo, and provide basic (not detailed) maintenance instructions?

  • Possibly mention we have additional vests available for training purposes. They will eventually be in the MML cage / in the box that has the dunker chair in it.
