Future Projection of Water Availability and Usability in Energy Production.

Creation of a Decision support interface

Water usage can be thermoelectric, nuclear or hydropower

Calculate power production over longer time periods, how can you evaluate persistent droughts or other longer-term issues

SWOT - Satellite altimetry data for water level datasets.
NASA SEDAC - gridded data for population density
US Census Bureau
Lund University Global historical projects and populated datasets.

NLCD - changing land use/land cover can be integrated into the framework

Should I make some tasks to grab different types of data for a specific region to convert into map layers.
I.E. I have a tool where you draw a bbox and can grab the population data, the USGS data and other data.

So the data sources may be:

  • Census data for a specific area
  • USGS sites and their values
  • Atmospheric water supply data
  • Soil Water availability

I.E I can download public USGS and Census data for a bbox area around some issue.

Really need an end-to-end user story of the usage of the application. Where the data comes from, the tasks to get more data into the system. The types of interfaces that are used to visualize this data. The ways to initiate/run these algos/tasks and the visualization of the output of this data.
