Hi Gully,
I have a few items related to the pipeline discussion that I can add as
slides, but I unfortunately could not be the lead. My money comes from the
HET and there is a weird political divide that would prevent me from
"officially" using my time for the McDonald pipelines. That being said, I
plan on being the developer for the VIRUS-W, VIRUS-P, and VIRUS2 pipelines,
so I could present on those specific instruments. I think Illa is the most
closely linked to this issue as the support astronomer for MDO, but sadly
because this is not a funded item, this has to be a "pro bono" effort from
someone that volunteers as tribute.
Cheers,
Greg

After yesterday's McDonald Observatory Status Update Seminar

some of us agreed that information sharing on software--- what's available
and what's planned---would be useful.
It seems like one preferred forum (for users) would be a talk similar to
yesterday's but with slides listing the instruments and what software
exists for them, limitations, etc.
Who could/would do this? @grzeimann <https://github.com/grzeimann>
