Why requirement for Dart SDK >= 2.17? #18

There doesn't appear to be anything in this package that actually depends on Dart SDK 2.17 (or Flutter 3.x)

As a result of this requirement, the package will not build with Flutter 2.x.

Is it possible to change the minimum version of dart sdk back to 2.12?
