Hi! If I understand your question, you want to manually change tool?
KTC can do that. The toolunlock macro can then be set to issue a M600 pause for example.

Hi. Thanks for the project. I'm working on switching an implementation to version 2. It's not entirely clear what the preferred way would be to establish that a tool is already loaded at startup (which I know from sensors). I'm using the command KTC_SET_ACTIVE_TOOL to manually set the active tool, but I also need to set the offsets and other tool parameters like shaper parameters and I don't think I'll have access to those parameters in a regular macro like I do in the tool select gcode which has access to the myself object. Any guidance would be appreciated.

It's easy to get the selected tool from any macro. Here is a sample:

gcode:
  {%set selected_tool = printer['ktc_tool '~printer.ktc.active_tool]%}
  RESPOND MSG="Selected tool is: {selected_tool.name}."
  RESPOND MSG="Tool parameter: {selected_tool.offset}."

I use Search Printer Objects macro in mainsail to search and browse the objects I need.

A few other things I came across. It looks like you have to change the tool state at the end of the select/deselect GCODE using something like KTC_SET_STATE TOOL={myself.name} STATE=SELECTED. Easy enough to do, but it's not in the examples you provided. Additionally, there are some references in the deselect gcode example that access {myself.park} instead of {myself.params_park}. I'm happy to update these and do a pull request if it helps.

Hi,

I just wanted to say this project looks awesome. I'm trying to get it installed on a custom 8ft printer I have but honestly I'm quite confused on what to set up after installation. I'm using a metal version of the RatRig VCore 3 Tool Changer I bought on Aliexpress but I don't know what exactly I need to set up after installation.

I'm currently using the sample config and the tool macros but that's as far as I've gotten.

Any help would be super appreciated

I have no experience with the RatRig VCore 3 Tool Changer.
This is not plug and play and I don't know if anyone uses it on this system. You can try asking on the RatRig Discord for help.
Any specifics, I can try to help.

What is causing this issue? I ran the T0 macro

Then if I press it a second time this happens
