Hi Team! First of All I just wanted to say great job! This is a great dashboard, Really visually appealing and a very interesting topic! I really enjoyed clicking through and discovering all the features you guys included!
I have a few pieces of feedback, hopefully they're not too much of a pain to implement! An I apologize if theres overlap with what has already been written by other reviewers!
First, the color scale on the map was a bit confusing to me. It seems to vary as we change from CD to CD. I wonder if it might be possible to keep a fixed scale as we select divisions?
Scrolling through the census division is a bit of a pain. I know our team had a similar struggle with counties on a US map. We resolved it by having 2 filters, one for the state level and one for the county. Maybe your team could implement something similar? First a province filter then a division filter?
Small nitpick about the violin plots. The Legend seems to be cut off, so I wasn't sure at first what the blue vs red lines represented. It took me a while to realize the violin plots were for the whole country and not the selected division. Would there be some way to easily indicate what the distribution is referring to? Otherwise though the plot is a great Idea, I found the comparison between the county and the overall average to be very insightful
I really like how you guys integrated the map! great work. One other small nitpick about the tooltip window that pops up when mousing over divisions. Having the name of the division is great. It might be possible to make the text showing average commute time a bit more readable? the current version has a small typo (extra r in current), and the words "current filters" doesn't give the user much useful information.
This may be just an issue with my computer, but i found that the app was quite slow to update after making inputs. This makes it hard to compare quickly between divisions. I'm not sure if there would be some way to optimize the backend side to make it a but more usable? I realize this is quite a hard task, just reporting on my user experience!
Overall though, great work, the plot seems very cohesive and informative!
