In order to resolve some of the naming confusion in MedBook. I’m proposing the following rules for field names:
1. fields that store guide should end with _id
EXAMPLES
_id (all collections), patient_id, sample_id, gene_id, study_id all would look like a meteor assigned id “AyBE34r7m89rmn6Q3"
NOTE: We are trying to avoid using the mongo-style ObjectId("5558a3b3d9dd43f9205514a4”) since there are issues with it during scale up that Abigail found the hard way.
2. fields that store short human readable using end with _label suffix are suitable for row and column headings:
