AFAIU, v.4.2.3 currently available will only support install on a dedicated domain, whereas v 3.2 allowed installation on a subdir/subpath of the main YNH web domain.

It would be useful to provide upgrade instructions for people upgrading.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Haven't upgraded myself, but I guess the way to go would be not to upgrade as usual, but:

  1. Backup your existing 3.2 install via YNH backup feature
  2. uninstall Cinny package v3.2
  3. install last Cinny package (on a subdomain as subdir is not supported anymore) from the app catalog
  4. If you don't want to connect to a subdomain, you could consider creating redirect from yourdomain.tld/subdir to subdomain.yourdomain.tld.

You are likely to loose Cinny configuration in the process, which you may be able to restore to last package version install by checking the backup archive and uploading related files back to the server (haven't checked which ones), unless they are too different and need specific migration work.

The operation should not be too risky overall as you will always be able to remove last Cinny package version and restore v3.2 from your backup (until those are removed).
