The workshop will be held in room EDC 179 of the University of Calgary Education Centre (EDC). You can find a map of campus here. EDC is in the bottom right corner.
You can find information on getting from YYC to the University of Calgary on their website. Select the "Travelling from the Airport to the University" dropdown for details on taxis, rideshares, and public transit.
You are responsible for arranging your own accommodation in Calgary. We recommend booking early as the Calgary Stampede is running from July 7-16. Some suggested accommodations near the University of Calgary include:

- Best Western Plus Village Park Inn
- Hampton Inn & Suites By Hilton Calgary - University Northwest
- Aloft Calgary University

The University also offers accommodation in its student residences, including hotel-style rooms and 2/3-bedroom suites with a shared common area (good for those traveling with labmates!). They range from $99 to $139 for stays with the majority of nights on non-Stampede dates. To obtain exact rates and book rooms, email stay@ucalgary.ca with your full name and the nights you wish to book for.
A lunch will be provided. You are responsible for your own breakfast and dinner arrangements.
The workshop will begin daily at 8:30am and conclude between 5-6pm but may run as late as 8pm. Workshop schedules will be made available on the student tutorial site.
We will be hosting a workshop social at Banquet Bar (3953 University Avenue NW) on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 6-8pm. This bar is walking distance from the workshop building and is located in University District, an area with lots of restaurants and pubs near the University of Calgary. Appetizers and one drink ticket per person will be provided. Additional food and drinks will be put on an individual bill. We have rented the bowling lanes in the bar from 7-8pm for those who are interested.
