Start With Raspbian Lite

Make you LCD come up to Console Mode

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -y
sudo apt-get upgrade -y
sudo apt-get --no-install-recommends install xserver-xorg xinit xserver-xorg-video-fbdev x11-xserver-utils -y
sudo apt-get install python3 python3-tk -y
sudo apt-get install python3-pip -y
sudo apt-get install libjpeg8-dev -y
sudo pip3 install Pillow python-mpd2
sudo apt-get install mpd mpc -y # mpc is optional

Setup MPD with host as "any"
also "music_directory" parameter gets read in coverart.sh so it should be in correctly formatted
Directory should be surrounded with "" and there should only be one space between the parameter name and value
Read through coverart.sh in case your covers are not showing up.

Copy the code
Run the following commands inside the directory
chmod +x start_pi.sh
chmod +x coverart.sh
chmod +x config_pi.sh

Run config command to update key mappings
sudo ./config_pi.sh

it will save config.ini with key mappings

Run the following to start the client
sudo ./start_pi.sh
