Option to sync playlists and subscriptions in their respective pages [YouTube] #2018
Comments
uhm what ? this doesnt make any sense. syncing subscriptions from a creator page doesnt make any sense and there is no youtube page. same thing for playlists you personally created. there is no good place other than the youtube plugin because thats basically the main page for that particular source. creator playlists can be synced now in the creator tab (finally took long enough lol) the thing you see as like main, trending etc are all aggregated across all sources. grayjay doesnt care which is the feed source. also the idea is anyway to make you independet of the websites, once grayjay desktop works fully as intended there wont be any need for 99.99% of the users to even go on the website. manual syncing of personal playlists is already a rather fringe function, most people use that once, some sporadic. it was more important when channel playlists didnt work, but they do now. so i would vote to close this because its already implemented best as logically sensible in the current app structure |
let me add, i would vote for a massive overhaul of the UI and all the menues. currently specially sources and settings menue are not that greatly structured. |
Well didn't think about the other ones. I guess you are right. |
You can definitely open this as another issue. Would definitely help |
Use Cases
As the title mentions it would be great to add an option to sync all playlists and subscriptions from YouTube (if one subscribed to someone's channel or more in YouTube but not in grayjay) in their respective pages. Because currently it's located in the sources page and it's kind of a chore to open the sources page everytime. Instead it would be easy to do that if they are in the subscriptions and playlist pages. Thanks and have a nice day!
