Description

Sentry is working on an application logging product. See more details in the PRFAQ: https://www.notion.so/sentry/PRFAQ-Application-Logging-1258b10e4b5d80ea8e98e8ec5505542c

Given this is a new signal that sentry ingests, we need to update the SDKs to send logs to Sentry. The goals of this project are the following:

  1. Define the unified public API for sending logs via a Sentry SDK
  2. Define internal SDK behaviour for capturing, processing, and sending logs
  3. Add support for the JavaScript SDK, Python SDK, and a single Mobile SDK for the initial alpha

This means at the end we'll have new develop docs for describing the logs envelope and logs API, and support in 3 SDKs.

Once the above have been done, we'll close this project, and open a new one for all the SDK functionality we'll add for GA.
