The Ins key should switch to insert mode

In normal mode, pressing the Ins key, I would expect it to change to insert mode. Exactly like pressing i.
In turn, when pressed while in insert mode, it could perhaps switch back to normal mode?

You can map this for yourself in config:

Yes but I was thinking it should be default, like in Vim. I guess this is not a big deal as some keyboards (Mac 🙄, etc.) have no Ins key anyway

I independently added this mapping from normal mode to insert mode using the "Insert" key myself. Making it a toggle to return back to normal mode seems a nice idea, echoing the DOS/Windows style where it was a toggle for over-typing versus inserting. I'll add that shortcut to my setup.

I was not a Vim user, and still heavily use the cursors while browsing and navigating files - from where the "Insert" key is an easy stretch.

This mapping seems both unambiguous and intuitive (as it matches the label on the key), AND a default in Vim, makes this seem very reasonable to add to the default configuration.
