I plan to discontinue support for older PHP versions prior to 8.3 in 2025. Preparations for this are already underway. Please be prepared for this change.

I'm sorry, but this is a bad idea.
There are plenty of sites with PHP version lower than 8, and you will disallow the library for them.
Perhaps this will be a new branch?
