We have this forgotten issue in savannah.

LINGOT 1.1.x no longer has constraints over the aspect ratio, but maybe we can benefit from using sliding / resizable panels, and in the future with "dockable" widgets, so we don't have to choose what widgets are mutually excluding each other.

I think we can try fist with two GtkPaned, a horizontal one inside a vertical one.
