I would go ahead and open a pull request to implement this feature, but I cannot seem to set up a locally running version of a git clone. I can run the build script but... then what? I have zero experience with making npm packages.

I get greeted with errors like this:

Surely there are npm commands one can use to locally compile and run an npm package?
