Package version (if known): latest master/maint

Describe the bug

If we upgrade to mkdocs-material 7.2.3 the css/style breaks. For some reason the minified/stylesheets are not found (404).

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Checkout master/maint
  2. Unpin mkdocs-material
  3. Install latest (>7.2.3)
  4. mkdocs serve and visit the frontpage

Expected behavior

The docs page to load properly not as in the below screenshot.

Additional context

If we remove the customizations (custom_dir/extra_css) the page does not fail. Therefore, it is on us and not the main mkdocs-material package. Itried to find hardcoded stylesheet paths but didn't manage.
