Hi, I've written a pretty basic mason registry source for this to assist with adding iwes to neovim's bin without needing to populate your system bin.

The registry is available here, and should allow for both iwe and iwes to be installed, though I don't know how useful iwe is on its own.

FYI, to use this yourself you just need to copy the files inside registry/ into a directory in your neovim config that you can require. Then change all the Plugins.mason.registry paths to your directory path. For instance if you put it in ~/.config/nvim/lua/custom_registry then you would change Plugins.mason.regsitry to custom_registry.

Finally, when you load mason, make sure to add your registry to Mason's list:

mason.opts.registries = {
    "github:mason-org/mason-registry",
    "lua:Plugins.mason.registry", -- Change to your path
}

FYI I strongly recommend pursuing the mason route as for me personally I have this on my list to test out once I can install via mason via my normal config workflow as I am busy with work and trying to avoid spending too much extra time on my neovim config right now 🤣

It is pretty common these days to be in the same boat as me I think so I think getting it registered and working with mason would be huge for the popularity, testing and adoption of the IWE LSP :)

Yeah seconded (obviously). Additionally, though the suggested method of starting the LSP is great:

mason-lspconfig is a staple in many user's config (especially those using pre-made configs like lazy or kickstart). I'm looking into what integrating iwe into this system would look like and am happy to share if interested

mason.nvim and mason-registry are not active development at the moment, so I recommend you create your own registry.
