Over at https://www.drupal.org/project/klaro/issues/3491582 I started a discussion
As Klaro will be shipped with Drupal CMS, my question is, if the "powered by klaro" info in the consent window is needed, or if we can remove it from the consent window.
It is mainly a "license" question, and if it is needed, or if we can safely remove it on that component.
Of course, Klaro should get some recognition (documentation page/config page, etc) but if not needed, I would prefer to have as less "distraction"/links/infos as possible in the consent window.

It would be great to know if this is possible to remove as a default, when we ship it.

thank you very much!
Nico

Since Klaro is licensed under the BSD-3-Clause License, the key requirement is that attribution and the original copyright notice must be maintained in the source code and documentation. However, there is no requirement to display "Powered by Klaro" in the consent window.

This means:
You can remove the "Powered by Klaro" message from the UI.
You must keep the BSD-3 license text and attribution in the source code.
Providing recognition elsewhere (e.g., documentation, config page) is a good practice but not legally required in the UI.

@thmull am i right?
