I have experimenting with adding support for generating SVG icons to letter_avatar, but just realized that letter_avatar uses GPL licensing and while this does not prohibit using it in a server-only proprietary product, I can't use it in many projects.
Is there any chance to relicense letter_avatar as LGPL? How much of the original discourse source code remains that you are bound by their license?
I think LGPL would be a good choice for letter_avatar to ensure that contributions stay open, but usage in commercial projects isn't precluded.
Thx
