Thanks for this really clear and simple example.

I would like to make things more visually interesting for a grid of images:

I'm wondering if there is some way we could make the gradient slightly diagonal in shape? I tried to change the gradient itself to be a diagonal gradient by switching from to left to to bottom left but it messed up the animation.

Do you have any suggestions?
