		<p>
			Vivekanand Education Society's Polytechnic, Mumbai is one of the highly reputed polytechnic in Maharashtra, India. Established in year 1983 by the Vivekanand Education Society founded by Late Shri Hashuji Advani, the institute offers quality technical education. Swami Vivekananda - a great social reformer, was one of the most influential spiritual leaders of Vedanta philosophy. Swami Vivekananda was the living embodiment of sacrifice and dedicated his life to the country and yearned for the progress of the poor, the helpless and the downtrodden. Following the same line, Vivekanand Education Society (V.E.S.) started its educational activities in 1962 which now has over 18,000 students on the roll of Primary Schools, High Schools, Junior College, College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Polytechnic & College of Engineering, College of Management Studies and College of Pharmacy. V.E.S. Polytechnic is affiliated to Maharashtra Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) and has been approved by AICTE. Over the years the institute marched towards excellence in technical education through sustained efforts of the quality staff, adapting improved teaching methodologies and by keeping pace with the latest technologies and industry requirements.
        </p>
		<p>
			The Polytechnic is a part of a campus boasting various educational institutions resulting in an atmosphere conducive for learning. The beautiful lush green playground and other activities like Yoga, Music, Vedanta aids in shaping budding engineers. It has at present about 1000 students, 45 faculty members, 29well equipped laboratories having instruments worth Rs. 2.28 cr. and 34 administrative and supportive staff. It has very strong alumni of students spread all over the world.
        </p>

			The institute offers following seven diploma programs in Engineering each having intake of 60.
