v3.1.2 or v4? #757

Dear all, I want to start developing turbulence models (also with field inversion), and was wondering if I should start with v3.1.2 or v4? In v4 it looks like the build logic is changed quite a bit (for the better), but the tutorials don't run. Would it be better to fix up a tutorial or stick with v3.1.2? I'd appreciate your advice. Thanks. If you want to only use the field inversion without any changes, I suggest you use v3. Otherwise, if you need to modify the code, v4 should be much better. We are still working on updating the tutorials, but they should be ready pretty soon. Stay tuned! |

Does the v4 version require the use of OpenMDAO module? Can I not use it like the v3 version? |

@WZDDZFJ Yes, v4 has to use OpennMDAO-style script. We believe it is much easier and more flexible to use in FIML. Check our latest tutorial: https://github.com/DAFoam/tutorials/blob/main/Ramp/steady/train/runScript_FI.py |
