Was this through the command palette? The View menu doesn't have a "Select Interpreter" option directly.
That's usually a sign that the installation of the extension failed. Can you try uninstalling the extension, quitting VS Code (to make VS Code delete the files), and try again? |

Hello
I am new Python developer still struggling with IDE. I apologize if there is an answer to my problem out there already, however I could not find it.
I have problem with VS Code IDE. I installed Python extension v2023.4.0, but in View menu when I tried to start Python Select Interpreter I got error "command 'python.setInterpreter' not found". I am on Win 11, and have installed Python 3.11.2.
Could someone please help?
Thank you!
Barry
