Error: Field OwnerId is not editable when updating Lead

I am running this on Lead Create for Leads coming from a particular source. I am getting the above error even though the Profile for the user on the integration has Transfer Lead permissions.

I am getting an identical error when trying to change a Task OwnerID from a Queue to an individual.
The Sharing settings are Private on the Task, does this make a difference?

the recordID should be a fieldReference (to the lead/task/whatever that started the process) and not hardcoded
