Empowerment & inclusion are tightly linked. Many communities including NOAA employee resource groups contribute to a sense of community and belonging, and offer opportunities for professional development and sharing of ideas across line offices (weather service, Fisheries, etc). Their various efforts are often complementary to open science goals and culture we are aiming for at Fisheries.
So many communities are connected to our network
We can introduce colleagues who want to join
Examples:
ESIPfed Collaboration areas. Many NOAA Open Science leaders are active in the ESIP collaboration areas (monthly meetings, active slack groups, meet 2x yearly at ESIP meetings)
We (Julie, Stef, Andy) decided not to move the Champions Cohort Folders a,b,c into x_Complete because it causes individual Champions to lose access. No renaming of folders. Leave as is
