building_class #58
Comments
I assume these are the classes of TABULA. But before anybody can confirm that, I would rather not add that to the documentation. (At least the number of different classes matches when you consider the time the feature was implemented. As of today, there is an additional class.) |
I am also wondering about the building_class as it is not explained anywhere. So a confirmation of the TABULA classes would be helpful. |
I had a look at the definition of the TABULA classes that are probably what the "building class" means. They are defined as follows:
For a given annual demand, the curves are very similar. However, buildings with a higher class have a tendency that they have more consumption in summer and less in winter. (Class 11 does not follow that scheme, though. It is between class 3 and 4.) Still, at least the order agrees with what I would expect. (Also, if the database is based on real-world data, the newer buildings might still have had to be heated more to dry them.) |
the building_class is not explained in the documentation, the issue has occurred before and the links provided were not to be found.
