Different gene data sources map to a different number of uniprot IDs #25

Comparing corresponding gene URIs (ncbigene and ensembl), a different number of uniprot URIs is retrieved (one for ncbigene, three for ensembl). As the ncbi identifier maps to the ensembl identifier, I was expecting the same results. It seems as if the transitive is not used in this case?
