Is your feature request related to a problem?

Currently, to my knowledge, transport certificates generated by the operator are not automatically renewed.

Do you have any additional context?

I've recently implemented in my company's fork of this repository a feature where the transport certificate is automatically renewed (commit), albeit only for the "global transport" certificate mode (matching our usecase). The API call needed to hot-reload the certificate is done externally.

Would you be interested in this feature being upstreamed?
