you guys understand that moving from a "proprietary centralized platform" to another "open source centralized platform" still has risks? if you guys want a platform that will ALWAYS be up use decentralized open source protocols like Matrix,Usenet,Fediverse etc etc... no country can ban those ever is really hard. Is one of the reasons some people will love to have revolt multi server but communicated between them. |

really? do you understand that a country can not ban a decentralized protocol like matrix or usenet? do you understand this is the same reasons why usenet had so much spam 10 years a go and that matrix users create their own instances if they are ban from a particular one? nobody can ban a decentralized network, is ridicules. There is a reason why in China they can't stop matrix/usenet but they can stop, discord or a 1 single host/service there is a reason why is "Decentralized" you can't block all the servers in that protocol, if you block a port then people open new ports, you block an ip and there are thousands of diff instances that pop on and off everyday all over the internet, only way to block it is to block the internet it self. |

I agree, people are dumb as fuck when it comes to tech here. No one in my class (except me) has heard of revolt, matrix, signal... (and a single person knows about guilded) Most people who study something about tech (cs, etc.) doesn't even care about it, they are here just because of the pay. |

Here after Turkiye banned discord, You guys seem like the best option we have...I could only use it a bit but due to server overload there were some issues which is okay, I wanted suggest some features such as screen sharing if that is possible please, thank you for this project and Russians and Turks I'm sorry for our loss o7 |

Да мейнтейнер просто сольет деньги с донатов на личные нужды и все. Никогда такого не было и вот опять. Не вижу каких-либо изменений в сторону улучшения работы Revolt после получения донатов. |

I only know one thing, when you provide a service, you had better provide it WELL, or you are going out of service. The new Revolt server I started 3 weeks ago is now on the verge of closing because it loads slow or sometimes not at all. Help? |

this program is developed by people that have no resources to maintain stability with a small team and limited money, right now updates are coming from just one person if I understand it correctly. with large sudden influx of users (x3 in 1 week) they have to open new servers and spend a lot of time making it all work while living their lives. this project is not a paid job and money come in donations, which means it'c not consistent and rn most likely it goes towards servers. they already experienced several DDos attacks, which was totally unexpected. |

Discord was banned for breaking the Russian laws, including the ones regarding child safety. I see a lot of people claim that Discord cares about it, but the servers mostly get terminated only if it's posted online. Sending emails to Discord results in you being asked to file a ticket, and tickets get ignored for a long time. |

Making a new dated list:
Old post: Registrations are being periodically held back to ease strain on our resources
We are currently receiving upwards of two to three dozen registrations a second so we will be periodically allowing/not allowing registrations depending on our available resources.
Update 1:
BlockedByShield, your registration request is being automatically blocked due to current server load, please try again later.Update 2: since some people have asked, I've setup a Boosty account and hopefully we can accept support that way towards re-scaling our servers. I will update on whether the money can actually reach us on our end once the first withdrawal occurs/fails.
Update 3: there appears to have just been a wave of traffic enough to hug the service to death; on the plus side, we've almost received enough donations to cover provisioning another server.
Update 4: I can confirm the wave of traffic in update 3 was a DDoS attack.
Update 5: thank you for the support, we're currently working on provisioning more servers. (further donations through Boosty or Ko-fi/PayPal will allow us to keep this infrastructure in place once it's configured)
Update 6: currently still working on provisioning more servers
Update 7: another server has been provisioned to help improve service stability
Update 8: Discord is now also blocked in Turkey.
Update 9: good morning, will continue work on scaling after I have some breakfast!
Update 10: starting the process of scaling again

Update 12: currently working on redesigning our infrastructure and provisioning more resources
