I wanted to scale down to zero a Kafka Kraft-based cluster. In other words, I want to temporarily shutdown a cluster. So far, I have managed to scale down Kafka itself by pausing reconciliation and deleting all the StrimziPodSets. However, the pods for Cruise Crontrol / Entity Operator and Kafka Exporter remain up and to make things worse the Cruise Control pod gets into crash loop because it cannot communicate with Brokers. The ultimate goal is to be able to scale down to zero an entire K8s cluster to cut down costs. |

If you paused reconciliation for Kafka CR, I think that you can delete the Deployments for KafkaExporter, CC and EO. |
