The thing is, with a dropdown list you can't select multiple elements. I plan to add the following to the instructions for use soon: You can create a "To do" type scene to describe an arc in detail. For example, in the "Planning" subtree, a part called "Arcs" would be well suited. In the tree, such "To do" scenes show the total word count of the corresponding arc. In the properties you can see the number of scenes of this arc, and also have the possibility to delete the assignments for all scenes. |

I gather you mean looking at the table, and then assigning scenes to the arc by hand in Novelyst, and not that there is a way to do that in the table itself. I did create "To do" scenes for arcs in Planning and I see "Arc reference", but I'm not sure how to use those. Looking forward to those added instructions. I'd use arcs as iterations of a narrative element (subplot, character trait, relationship, symbol, sentence, etc) that repeat with variation in order to create meaning--those words are taken from The Book Architecture, whose Introduction I found worth reading. |

That's great, I totally missed that. Eager to use it, I'm going too quickly on this. Best wishes for the New Year. |

With novelyst's successor noveltree, a CollectionBox widget is used for this. |

Currently, Arc names have to be typed in the Arcs box every time. A drop-down list would be easier and safer. A difficulty is that a semi-colon would have to be inserted when 2 or more Arcs are used in the same scene.
