The left addend beads are jumping to a bead as soon as it crosses the separator. This is happening in both mouse and keyboard.

Fixed above. This was due to some oversights in when we were using model vs. view coordinates. I think I cleaned that up, but I would like @pixelzoom to take a second look just to make sure.
