bug: All the Notes 'screenshots' are black. #20
Comments
In the meantime I found out that depends on the Template used. For e.g. the white template its OK. |
Can you attach a note that is having this issue? I had similar issues with custom templates but fixed that bug. |
Hi Brandon,
Attached an example note file. Problem is with the last page. On my SN the page is white with lines. On this page I applied th the ruled_57.png template. The black text is invisible when imported in Obsidian. The white text is visible in Obsidian but not on my SN A5X.
I assume the ruled_57.png has a ‘solid’ background causing the issue.
I hope this info helps….
Regards,
Jan-Jaap

Just sent a email with the relevant attachments...... |
@JJKR1968 you will need to attach them via the website. They didn’t show up from your email |
@JJKR1968 Can you please attach an example note file AND a screenshot of what you are seeing? |
Below a screenshot of what I see in Obsidian, an export from the A5X and a zip file with the note file. |
These seems like the same issue I've seen - when using a dark theme in obsidian the supernote images are not visible - the page background is black, so black writing isn't visible. Switching to a light theme in obsidian resolves it. I'm not sure if there's a way for the supernote obsidian plugin to force a white background - perhaps it comes across as a transparent background in the PNG, so obsidian themes attempt to fill in with the theme background, which doesn't really work for the supernote images. It's the same whether looking at a NOTE or attached PNG. |
@scotte This is a separate issue since these notes have a black background while on a light theme. |
Ah, sorry - it sure seemed related to me in having to do with the background of imported supernote images. I do wonder if there are multiple factors involved, such as whether the underlying template is PNG or PDF, whether the background is white or transparent, etc. |
When I add the .Note file the created page does contain the 'converted to text' part correctly but the note 'screenshots' are completely black.
The Titles do show.
