The environment templates include placeholders, such as dockerbase for the singularity-default template. So far, I don't think there is a way to find out about those placeholders other than reading the template or running the command incomplete and reading the resulting ValueErrors. It would be good to find information on required template placeholders in the docs. Related to #89
