Box64 AppImage files dont run on Raspberry pi 5 debain machine

new Raspberry Pi/linux user here. I want to run AppImage based social networking graphing applications on Raspberry Pi 5 -debian. gephi-0.10.1 and Tulip-6.0.0.AppImage are the two programs i am interested in evaluating.

I downloaded and installed Box64 to emulate the AppImage operating environment required by the software. however, the apps dont seem to have been installed and their appears to be no way to get them to execute.

the directory files I downloaded and unzipped/untarred into my Rapsberry pi directory (/home/glenn/apps) with the Pi-Apps software- wont execute or run. so clearly i must have missed something. can anyone suggest how to sort this out?

From a terminal:

check that box64 is accessible and running, with box64 --version

maybe restart binfmt service, just in case, with sudo systemctl restart systemd-binfmt

from the folder where you AppImage is:
make sure the file you want to run has executable flag, with chmod +x MyApp.AppImage

what ./MyApp.AppImage does?
what box64 ./MyApp.AppImage does?

thanks. box64 --version shows it up and running. so +1 for that!
I set the AppImage permissions to execute by "Anyone" with the Linux Permissions gui...

Then I ran box64 ./Tulip-6.0.0.AppImage. Everything loaded well until near the end. Then this error message appeared and stopped the process. (Basically the same thing I found originally.) I find several other recent GOMP_critical_name error messages on line from other app installs. one person suggested this might related to a libc ukpdate, or missing funtion of some sort in Box64. I am not knowledgeable enuf to know what the fix might be.

hoping the Box64 creators can resolve this. It would be a big advantage to be able to run these SNA graphing programs on the Rasberrypi.
