The Way of Experimental Games (: An Experimental Game Anarchy: EGA) is a gathering place for people on their own way of exploring the game medium, or at least watching the exploration of it, safely from the edge of the forest. The intention is likely either purely artistic or philosophical reasons (no business people!!). It’s a place for documenting, “researching” (playing), writing about, making, and exploring experimental games.

Initially, I will simply provide a digital hang out space and a knowledge-base (currently, this wiki!), starting with simple lists of games and perhaps a simple list of tools for games that use technology. The rest will be up to the will of it’s members: anarchy.

I believe that those lists of games will quickly transform into a map that shows the directions games have gone throughout history, thus providing everyone a map of highly-likely locations of buried treasure: a map of fruitful areas to explore in the game medium.

It could also serve as an extension to the now abandoned Experimental Gameplay Project.., but remember: EGP covered just a small sub-set of video games; EGA includes all sorts of non-video games!
