there's this issue ive been having where the portmaster icon shows up red and blocks all internet connections right after a boot up. as far as i know this has happened ever since i installed portmaster and has persisted no matter what ive tried including:

  • reinstalling portmaster,
  • changing release channels (some folks on the discord suggested i do it but no dice),
  • restarting the portmaster (works like normal afterwards but can just bork randomly and so i have to keep portmaster open in a minimized window all the time if i want to use it),
  • restarting the system after said manual shutdown and startup (works but still needs portmaster open but minimized).

i do have 1.1.1.1 as a startup app too and i run windows 10
i havent turned off my windows firewall

please ask for additional information if you need it, this is all that i can come up with off the top of my head

This is not normal, and you are correct it probably has to do with 1.1.1.1 or a similar app.

You should deinstall that and all should be good. You can also look into the debug info if you see other things in the WFP
