Duplexing

Whether a communications system is time-division duplexing (TDD) or frequency-division duplexing (FDD) is really part of the overall system, not of a lower-level structure like modulation. In practical use, we anticipate that the signals would either be labeled separately or that the description of the overall system (e.g., LTE) would indicate what type of duplexing is being used.
